'KV Thomas effect' has no place in Thrikkakara, says Sebastian Paul

Kochi: Former MP Sebastian Paul said that ousted Congress leader KV Thomas would not influence the voters in Thrikkakara. He stated that the senior Congress leader's presence would not cause vote trading in Thrikkakara.

"However, the people will be baffled when a senior congress leader takes a different stand. Its impact may be evident in the election. Other than that, the influence of KV Thomas has little to do with the voters in Thrikkakara. I couldn't say whether his influence will impact people sometime before the election," he said.

He also dismissed that KV Thomas will have a negative image for distancing from Congress and siding with the left candidate in Thrikkakara bypoll. He pointed out that this won't affect the left front.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Paul pointed out that Twenty-20 had proven that they play a crucial role by drawing the example of the last election in Thrikkakara. However, he added that Twenty20 leadership knows that they can't win the election like the last polls.
