Thrissur: Police seized the KSRTC Swift bus that caused accident at Kunnamkulam and interrogated the driver. Tamil Nadu native Paraswami died in the accident at Kunnamkulam junction on Thursday.
He was first hit by a pickup van while crossing the road. Soon the KSRTC Swift bus plying between Thrissur and Kozhikode ran over the commuter who fell on the road after hitting the pickup van. Though the locals rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital, he died on way.
CCTV footage revealed that the bus passed through the spot only after 30 seconds and it was the pickup van which hit the victim.
