Kochi: Minister KT Jaleel appeared for interrogation at the Customs office in Kochi on Monday morning. The minister reached the Customs office in his official vehicle.
A long list of questions is awaiting KT Jaleel at the ED office. Questions will be asked about religious texts, food kit distribution, his visits to UAE Consulate and his phone calls with Swapna Suresh.
The Customs department has prepared a questionnaire different from that of ED and NIA. There will be questions based on the statement from Sarith, an accused in the gold smuggling case, who had said that Jaleel held discussions with Consul General.
Customs observed that the minister had violated the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act along with the protocol.
