KSU state president tests COVID +ve; complaint against him for giving fake address during test
Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): KSU state president K U Abhijith has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
He was confirmed with the disease as the test was performed on him and KSU state secretary Bahul Krishna after they took part in the protests held in Thiruvananthapuram.
Meanwhile, Pothencode panchayat president filed a complaint with the police pointing out that Abhijith gave a fake address when he came for the COVID test.
Abhijith and Bahul Krishna arrived at Thachappally LP School in Pothencode panchayat for the COVID test. Both of them gave the address of Bahul Krishna which read 'Plamoodu, Thiruvonam'.
When 48 people were tested at the school, 19 confirmed positive. Among them, the health department authorities could trace only two of the three people from Plamoodu.
When they inquired about the third person, they came to know that no such person exists. They also could not find where the person was staying in quarantine.
Meanwhile, Pothencode panchayat president K Venugopalan Nair filed a complaint to the police stating that the COVID positive person gave a fake name and address. He also sought help to find out the person.
However, it was identified that KSU state president Abhijith was the person by late night. He admitted that he was subjected to the test and tested positive. Abhijith had taken part in many protests.
