KSU, SFI activists clash inside Thiruvananthapuram Law College; many injured
Thiruvananthapuram: Clashes occurred between Students' Federation of India (SFI) and Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists at the Government Law College here on Tuesday.
The students belonging to both organisations started a fight as a fallout of the clashes that occurred the previous day. Many students including SFI Unit Secretary Jishnu were injured in the incident and were admitted to the General Hospital.
The students said that the clashes occurred in the campus on Tuesday afternoon. A student who witnessed incident told Mathrubhumi News that a group of students manhandled and stripped SFI unit secretary Jishnu and his teeth were broken in the attack. Students alleged that KSU workers who arrived in a car carrying hockey sticks and wooden logs unleashed violence inside the campus.
After the attack, the gang fled the scene in their car. SFI demanded that the criminals should be arrested immediately. A huge police force was deployed in the college to prevent any further untoward incidents.
