Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the violence during the KSU protest in front of the Secretariat on Thursday was organized.
There was an organized attack against police officers who were on duty at the spot, the CM said and questioned what the police officers do wrong.
We saw policemen being surrounded and beaten up. When one of their colleagues is being beaten up, the police will react and this would worsen the situation. This was the idea behind the organized attack against police. However, the police maintained composure, the CM said.
Such organized attacks are being carried out with the sole intention of hiding the helpful projects and welfare activities of the government. The objective of violence was to mislead the people.
The KSU activists also attacked another set of people who were protesting in front of the Secretariat. The KSU activists threw away the clay pots used by the other set of protesters. The KSU activists were completely out of control, the CM criticized.
