KSRTC to start 15 interstate bus services


Two bus services are allowed from Ernakulam to pilgrimage centre in Pazhani via Munnar-Marayur. Also two services from Kottayam via Kumili-Theni allowed.

Marayur (Idukki): The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to start 15 new bus services in order to resolve the interstate travel issues. Bus services will start from various depots in Kerala on the basis of the new interstate contract made with Tamil Nadu.

In order to begin profitable services beneficial for the public, the concerned unit officers are directed to submit the recommendations regarding time schedule and other matters to the Executive Director (Operation) through Regional Officer before June 3.

Two bus services are allowed from Ernakulam to pilgrimage centre in Pazhani via Munnar-Marayur. Also two services from Kottayam via Kumili-Theni is allowed. Two buses from Kannur to Coimbatore via Walayar and one bus from Thrissur via Walayar also has been allowed.

The corporation has given nod to bus services from Mananthavady to Coimbatore via Kalpetta, Ooty and Mettupalayam and from Sultan Bathery to Coimbatore via Ooty and Mettupalayam. A new service will be allowed from Kottayam depot to Udulamalai via Marayur.

Two services will start from pilgrimage centre in Arthunkal to Velankanni via Coimbatore, Karoor, Tiruchi and Thanjavur. Four services will be started from Kozhikode to Gudalur via Nilambur.
