Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has decided to offer public transport buses, including multi-axle Volvo, on rent for school and college tours. School authorities can hire buses for affordable rates.
Currently, the minimum rates have been declared for seven kinds of buses namely mini bus, ordinary, fast passenger, super fast, super express, AC low floor and Volvo. Charges for the bus service are fixed on an hourly basis like 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours and 16 hours. A fixed amount should be paid for every additional kilometre.
Bus - Time - Fare
Mini bus: 4 hrs - Rs 8,800, 16 hrs - Rs 20,000
Ordinary: 4 hrs - Rs 9,250, 16 hrs - Rs 21,000
Fast Passenger: 4 hrs - Rs 9,500, 16 hrs - Rs 23,000
Super Fast: 4 hrs - Rs 9,900, 16 hrs - Rs 25,000
Super Express: 4 hrs - Rs 10,250, 16 hrs - Rs 26,000
AC low floor: 4 hrs - Rs 11,000, 16 hrs - Rs 28,000
Volvo: 4 hrs - Rs 15,000, 16 hrs - Rs 35,000
