KSRTC to reduce ticket charges from Oct 1, allow transportation of electric scooters, bicycles
Thiruvananthapuram: From November one onwards, passengers can carry electric bikes and scooters and bicycles in Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) busses, said the Minister for Transport, Antony Raju.
The measures to make this a reality are in full swing, said the minister. KSRTC’s long route low-floor busses and Scania and Volvo busses to Bengaluru will have the facility. A stipulated charge will also be there for it.
The minister also said that decision has been taken to reduce ticket rates from October 1. Ticket charges were hiked to overcome financial crisis during Covid outbreak. In the meantime, the government mulls considering the recommendation of Justice Ramachandran Commission to hike ticket charge.
