KSRTC to receive 250 electric buses under Fame India Scheme

New Delhi: Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari announced that 250 electric buses will be granted to Kerala State Road Transport Corporation under Phase 2 of the Fame India Scheme (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles).

He informed that alternative measures have been set up in the transportation sector to bring down air pollution caused by carbon emissions.

The alternative action plan includes the use of fuel combined with ethanol and gasoline, flexible fuel, ethanol mixed fuel for diesel vehicles, biodiesel, bio CNG, LNG methanol M 15, methanol MD 95, dimethyl ether, hydrogen and CNG fuels, said the minister.
