Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC will shift its organisational setup by introducing a cluster model of services in place of depots. The new model was adopted after it was found that there was a lack of coordination between various depots causing services to be delayed, cancelled, and often creating confusion among passengers.
KSRTC revealed that cluster service is adapted to save fuel and for cost-effective management of services.
Service operation clusters will be formed for effective management of service operations. These clusters will be headed by a senior officer followed by two assistant cluster officers. Earlier, five clusters were experimentally formed from depots in Thiruvananthapuram.
