Thrissur: The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) conducted 230 bus services in the district in view of the Kerala entrance exam held on Thursday. The buses were in service from various depots to the exam centres.

However, the number of commuters were very few. Some of the buses had just one passenger.

With the Covid pandemic and the ongoing monsoon, most of the parents preferred to take their children in private vehicles. Some parents joined together and rented mini vans and buses for this purpose.

The town was experiencing severe traffic congestion since morning 8 am.

There were 40 exam centres within the corporation limit and adjacent areas. The KSRTC buses were arranged to facilitate the journey to these centres.

However, taking in view of the morning situation, only few buses were in service in the evening after the exam.
