KSRTC reinstates Erattupetta driver after suspension over driving bus through flooded road


Kottayam: The Kerala Transport Corporation has reinstated the driver who was suspended for driving the bus through a flooded road. On Tuesday, KSRTC issued an order reinstating S Jayadeep, driver at Erattupetta depot to service. The order was issued as the suspension period had already been completed.

At the same time, he has been transferred to Guruvayur depot.

Jayadeep triggered a controversy by taking the bus to a flooded road posing threat to the lives of the passengers and inflicting damage to the bus.

The incident took place in October 2021. The video of the bus moving through the flooded road went viral on social media. Following this, KSRTC suspended him from service.
