Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC has reacted to the brouhaha over the newly launched KSRTC Swift buses that have been involved in repeated accidents since the start of the service. KSRTC's name is being dragged through the mud over an accident that took place in Kunnamkulam on Thursday. KSRTC said in a statement through a Facebook post that the news circulated through social media about the buses were of clear agenda but with wrong information. KSRTC also made it clear that these unwanted talks have earned popularity for KSRTC.

“It is normal for vehicles to be involved in accidents. New and old vehicles may meet with accidents, but what is important is how an accident takes place. Certain media and certain groups on social media find it hard to digest that an accident involving KSRTC or KSRTC Swift buses could be unintentional,’’ reads the note.

“A recent accident involving the KSRTC Swift bus was falsely reported online. Even after inspecting the CCTV footage and realising that there is no mistake on the part of the bus driver, nothing was done to correct the false news.”
