Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Transport Antony Raju said that the pension arrears of KSRTC employees will be distributed on Wednesday.
This announcement comes after the Kerala High Court issued a directive on Monday, ordering the arrears to be paid by April 12. In the event of non-compliance, the court demanded that the chief secretary and secretary of the Transport Department appear in court and provide an explanation.
The court had previously ordered KSRTC to distribute employee pensions within the first five days of each month, after considering the petition filed by the Transport Pensioners Fund. However, the corporation had stalled the pensions for the last two months.
