KSRTC launches pilgrim tour package, first trip for ‘Malayattoor ‘perunnal’

Thamarassery: To increase revenue and develop domestic tourism, KSRTC will soon introduce a new pilgrim tour package. The special pilgrim services will be summoned during the summer vacation from the Thamarassery KSRTC depot.

The first pilgrim tour package will be organised to Malayattoor St Thomas Syro Malabar church which is a prominent christian pilgrim centre and an ancient cultural centre.

The next phase of pilgrimage will be launched to Padmanabhaswamy temple, Parassinikadavu Muthappan temple in Kannur and Kottiyoor temple.

The first service has been scheduled on April 23, a day before the Malayattoor ‘perunnal’. The pilgrims can mount Malayattoor hill and visit some other worship centres during the trip.

The Budget Tourism Cell district co-ordinator PK Bindu informed that more services will be deployed on later days according to the rush in booking.

Passengers have to take food and other related expenses during travel which costs Rs 950 per passenger. Contact 9846100728 or 8547640704 to pre-book the trips.
