Thiruvananthapuram: Guidelines have been issued to KSRTC employees to behave decently to passengers. The employees have been instructed that they should not take the same approach if someone provokes them instead they should take legal action against the offender. The follow-up action will be taken at the office level.
CMD Biju Prabhakar instructed that KSRTC employees should not react if passengers make provocative statements against them, either in or outside the bus. Employees have to act decently while interacting with passengers.
Adequate facilities should be arranged in the bus for women, children, senior citizens and differently-abled people. The order also states that ordinary and fast passenger buses should stop at stops where passengers want to alight. This instruction will have to be followed in the case of Janta ordinary buses and unlimited ordinary buses.
Bus conductors should make sure that reserved seats are available for the passengers concerned. Special consideration should be given to pregnant women and women with babies. Strict action will be taken against KSRTC employees if they are found to have acted indecently to passengers.
