Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has decided to take a loan from cooperative banks to distribute the pension for retired KSRTC employees. According to reports, the government is planning to take Rs 146 crore as a loan from cooperative banks in the state.

Minister for Finance, K N Balagopal informed that a special financial aid of Rs 15 cr will be granted to KSRTC apart from the other financial help.

Retired staff under KSRTC Pensioners Organisation have been staging an indefinite protest in front of the Secretariat from December 19. The retired staff started the protest as the pension for the month of November was not distributed.
