Thiruvananthapuram: Congress-backed TDF and BMS unions have called for a 24-hour-long strike in KSRTC over non-payment of the salary to its employees.

The meeting of union representatives with minister Anonty Raju and CMD Biju Prabhakar did not find a common ground. Minister initially offered to pay salary by 21st of this month. He then said the money will be disbursed by 10.

While CITU agreed to this, TDF and BMS decided to go for strike.

Services of KSRTC will be partially affected for 24 hours from 12 am on Friday.
