KSRTC buses, Water Transport dept's boats to resume services partially from Thursday

Thiruvananthapuram: As Covid curbs will be relaxed in the state from June 17, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will resume services partially across the state as per requirement of passengers and the boats of Water Transport Department will conduct 50 percent services, informed Transport Minister Antony Raju.

KSRTC will conduct services following Covid protocols. Buses will not stop at places which are included in C and D categories (test positivity rate 20 percent) by the local bodies. Bus services will be available to places where more passengers are travelling to.

Ordinary buses will operate services for 12 hours as per the demand of the passengers. More number of services will be operated on Monday and Friday as more people travel on these days.

As complete lockdown has been announced on Saturday and Sunday, only essential services will be available. Long distance services will resume from Sunday afternoon.

Apart from this, the boats of Water Transport Department will conduct service with 50 percent schedules in each stations from 7 am to 7 pm, the minister informed.
