KSRTC bond service will be launched for school students: Minister Antony Raju

Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju said that the bus service will be assured for every student when the school reopens. KSRTC school bond service will be launched if the school managements demand. The minister informed that the bond service will be deployed by collecting a fixed rate.

The private buses will be used if more buses are required. For this, the government is willing to sign a long term contract with the private bus owners, said the minister.

The officials of the Motor Vehicles Department has to visit the schools and confirm the fitness of the vehicles before October 20. The minister had already directed that the vehicles shall be used for transporting students only after completing the fitness test and trial run.

The Motor Vehicles Department has released the guidelines to ensure the safety of vehicles in Covid situation.
