Malappuram: The passengers who booked a KSRTC bus for their Munnar trip from the Malappuram depot, went furious when the officials arranged a private tourist bus for the trip. The enraged passengers slammed that they do not require the help of KSRTC to travel in a private tourist bus and stayed stubborn that they need a KSRTC bus for the trip. However, the KSRTC officials informed them that the corporation is currently deploying only tourist buses for the excursions.
Later, police reached the spot and solved the issue by mediating a talk between KSRTC and the passengers. Later, the dispute was resolved after allotting a KSRTC bus for the trip. The trip scheduled to start at 10 am was delayed for an hour due to the conflict.
Munnar trip in the KSRTC bus launched at the Malappuram depot had gained wide acclamation. With more bookings, the depot had increased the frequency of the services also. However, the shortage of buses in the depot had urged the KSRTC officials to deploy private buses.
