New boat launched by KSINC for Muziris Heritage Project

Kochi: A 25-seater boat constructed by Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation (KSINC) will soon commence service for the Muziris Heritage Project. The basic facilities in the boat will be powered by the solar panels installed on the rooftop of the boat. The journey will be more comfortable and devoid of sound pollution as there is no generator in the boat.

KSINC has planned to build four boats, including a speed boat for the Muziris Heritage Project. A speed boat and another boat for the hop-on, hop-off service were already handed over for the scheme.

The third boat launched recently will start service soon after completing the registration procedures. MD Prasanth Nair informed that the fourth boat will be entrusted for the project by September.

Another programme to build six more similar boats is under the consideration of KSINC.
