Kottayam: In a novel happening, a KSFE official in Ponkunnam here chose a KSRTC bus for his retirement day return journey. Interestingly, his colleagues too accompanied him on the trip and made it even more memorable.
It was on Tuesday that KV Prasadchandran, a native of Mundakayam retired from the KSFE office here as an Assistant Manager. After the farewell at the office in the evening, he boarded a KSRTC bus to Amaravathi near Mundakayam here.
His colleagues who worked with him at the present office and previous offices accompanied him on his bus journey.
The payment for the trip was made to Ponkunnam Depot. To witness the rare send-off journey many from nearby shops and establishments and other onlookers gathered near the KSFE office. On reaching his house there was a small feast and after that, the colleagues returned on the same bus.
