Thiruvananthapuram: The ongoing strike by the KSEB Officers Association will continue as the meeting with Board management failed to find a middle ground. CDM B Ashok failed to turn up at the meeting. Shortly after the meeting, an order was issued to transfer KSEB Officers' Association state president MG Suresh Kumar to Malappuram.

Earlier, MG Suresh Kumar said that the management should be prepared to change the unilateral approach on matters concerning the board.

"Dubious actions are being taken on the part of the board management. I do not understand why. It is a company that has been run amicably by staff, officers and management for some time now. It is an institution that is providing better service to the people," he said.

Suresh Kumar said that the ongoing strike will come to an end once a decision is taken on the part of the management. He added that they are ready to hold further talks to find a solution to the current crisis.

He added that he does not agree with the decision to transfer Assistant Engineer Jasmin Banu. He added that they refuse to end the strike if she was not posted in Thiruvananthapuram. The Board revoked the suspension of Banu following a court order. However, they retained the transfer order. This is one of the main reasons why the strike is continuing.
