Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) is gearing up to promote its ambitious Hydel tourism. The project would be implemented in collaboration with cooperatives. The plan has been submitted for its approval to the Ministry of Tourism. Minister MM Mani has said the project would be implemented when they receive financial aid from the central govt.
Idukki Dam
The officials have announced to launch laser show aquarium. The project would cost Rs 26 crores. Besides the laser show, the Hydel Tourism also plans to set up a pavilion, shopping centres and galleries in front of the arch dam. The laser show would be organised in such a way that it could be viewed from the gallery.
The show would be screened on the wall of the arch dam which is 500 feet high. The history of Kerala and KSEB would be depicted in the show. A 6-D theatre and video games would also be launched as part of the project.
Amusement parks
Officials have announced launching of amusement parks at Ponmudi Anayirankal, Chenkulam, Lower Meenmutty in Thiruvananthapuram district and in Munnar Hydel park. The partnerships with co-operatives would be based on income sharing arrangements.
