Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Wednesday alleged that KSEB was working like a 'party office' of CPM. He was reacting to the allegations raised by board chairman B Ashok.
Ashok, in a Facebook post, had alleged serious irregularities in the company during the first term of the Left government. He said important data were being leaked from the office, illegal appointments were made and the board's land was leased out to cooperative societies without the knowledge of the board.
Satheesan alleged that by handing over the land to societies ruled by CPM, the board faced huge losses and it was balanced by taking more money from the common man.
Kerala has been buying electricity from outside without the permission of the Electricity Regulatory Commission since 2016. The tender information was leaked from the office to the participants, Satheesan said. The opposition leader also alleged corruption in the Transgrid project. The revelations of the chairman are shocking. The government must order an enquiry into this, he demanded.
