Pathanamthitta: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) on Saturday suspended Babu George, former president of Pathanamthitta DCC, from the party for allegedly misbehaving and attempting to kick a door open amid a meeting at the district congress committee office.
The decision was taken by KPCC president K Sudhakaran, said general secretary TU Radhakrishnan. The visuals of Babu George kicking the door had surfaced earlier on social media.
The incident occurred while a meeting, which was attended by Adoor Prakash MP, DCC president Satheesh Kochuparambil, MM Naseer, general secretary in-charge of districts, had been taking place at the DCC president’s room in the office.
According to the KPCC, the decision to suspend the leader was taken based on the conviction that there has been a serious breach of discipline and the incident has put the party in bad light in front of the public.
