KPCC member who attended the Chief Minister’s Kerala tour meeting arrested


The invite for the meeting convened by the Chief Minister was handed over to various people from the cultural, social and political spheres and to religious heads.

Thodupuzha: The KPCC member who attended the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Kerala tour meeting was arrested on Monday. The action was taken after he attended the meeting uninvited. The KPCC member from Idukki, CP Mathew, was arrested by police.

The invite for the meeting convened by the Chief Minister was handed over to various people from the cultural, social and political spheres and to religious heads.

At first, CP Mathew stated that he came to present the issues faced by plantation workers before the Chief Minister.

However, he was denied entry by the police as he was not given the official invite. Following this, he was arrested and removed from the venue when he tried to raise political issues while talking to the media.
