KPCC intervenes to solve Cong-League dispute in Malappuram
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC has intervened to solve the issues between the Congress and the Muslim League in Malappuram over seat sharing for the local body elections.
V M Sudheeran held talks with Congress ministers from the district, Aryadan Mohammed and A P Anilkumar. League ministers P K Kunhalikutty, M K Muneer, and V K Ebrahim Kunju then arrived at Indira Bhavan for discussions.
With stage set for contests between the UDF allies in nearly 15 panchayats and a block panchayat, the discussion today is the last bid to solve the dispute. The KPCC is trying to reach consensus in at least half of the 15 panchayats.
