Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is reorganising the executive committee in the wake of the direction of All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Opposition leader of UDF VD Satheesan and KPCC chief K Sudhakaran met senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala and Oommen Chandy to deliberate over the matter.

The state leadership had given the list to High Command by swapping 46 members in the 240-member executive committee. However, it failed to incorporate the norms prepared by ‘Chintan Shivir,’ the three-day brainstorming session organized at Rajasthan to evolve the party's strategy for its overhaul and revival in the wake of a series of electoral defeats.

The main criticisms on the list prepared by the state leadership are that youngsters and women were not given adequate representation. The High Command had directed for changes and the state leadership is pondering over it.

It is leant that the matter will be finalized soon as organizational elections are around the corner.
