Elathur: In a tragic incident on Tuesday night at Kelappaji bridge over Korapuzha river in Kozhikode, a scooter collided with a car, resulting in the deaths of a 24-year-old man, Athul, and his two-and-a-half-year-old son, Anvik. The deceased were residents of Westhill Chungam.

Athul was returning from a housewarming ceremony in Vadakara on a scooter with his wife, mother, and two-and-a-half-year-old son, Anvik when the tragic accident occurred. Athul's wife, Maya, and mother, Krishnaveni, were also injured in the collision and have been admitted to the Government Medical College in Kozhikode.

Despite being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance from the city control room, Athul and Anvik could not be saved.

The accident occurred when the scooter collided with a car approaching from the Kozhikode region. Saurav and Sayanth, who were traveling in the car, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
