Kozhikode-TVM Jan Shatabdi expresss cancelled, rail transport in disarray
Kozhikode: The unabated rains has affected the train services in the state. The continuous rains have led to water logging in Ernakulam south railway station and triggered landslides on Piravam road to Vaikkom, leading to disruption of traffic.
Thiruvananthapuram- Kozhikode Jan Shatabdi express (12076) terminated its service at Alappuzha. As a result, the Kozhikode- Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shadabdi express (12075) was cancelled as well.
The continuous rain has taken a toll on the polling in the by- election as well. All passenger trains coming under Thiruvananthapuram Division were cancelled due to unabated rain.
12 trains have been cancelled, 3 services are temporarily suspended and 3 trains have been diverted.
