Kozhikode: Police on Friday slapped the murder charge against the suspect in the Kozhikode train arson attack case. It may be noted that the case registered by the Railway Police had not slapped a murder charge against him. However, Kerala Police reportedly found that he has involvement in three murders (victims of arson attack).

Meanwhile, the court has sent him to 11-day police custody. The police had demanded 14 days of custody, but the court only granted 11 days.

Meanwhile, a team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials from Bengaluru has arrived in Kozhikode. It is learnt that NIA is likely to take over the probe.
