Kozhikode: Court has cancelled the bail given to Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan in the Kozhikode solar scam case.

The court has instructed both the accused to be arrested and presented before the court if they do not appear on their own. The verdict in the case will be pronounced on February 25.

The case considered on Thursday pertains to Kozhikode native Abdul Majeed being scammed of Rs 42 lakhs by first accused Biju Radhakrishnan and second accused Saritha S Nair.

Saritha’s lawyer informed the court she could not appear before court as she is undergoing chemotherapy. The lawyer also informed the court that Biju Radhakrishnan is under rest after an angioplasty.

However, the prosecution argued that nothing about chemotherapy was mentioned in the documents submitted by Saritha’s lawyer. They argued that treatment involved a medicine for chemotherapy and that the document does not state that it was chemotherapy.

Following this, the court cancelled the bails of Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan along with that of Manimon, the third accused.
