Kozhikode native found dead in hostel within weeks joining engineering course in Bengaluru


Bengaluru: A Kozhikode native studying in Bengaluru was found dead in his college hostel on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Nithin (20), a student at AMC Engineering College.

Kozhikode’s Panthalayani native Nithin joined the college on December 1. He was found dead inside the hostel room after his friends grew suspicious of his absence since Wednesday morning. Later, the hostel warden, along with police and college authorities, searched the hostel and found the body inside the room.

Police said the death is suspected to be suicide. Nithin was reportedly worried about staying away from his family. He is survived by his father Prasoon, mother Sreekala, and brother Nirmal.
