Accused Saseendran-MCH Kozhikode
Kozhikode: The district court here on Friday dismissed the bail plea of MM Saseendran accused of alleged sexual abuse that happened at Medical College Hospital (MCH).
The court’s decision came in wake of the police’s report to the district session court that the accused is an attender at MCH and is probable of influencing other staffers who are witnesses.

Meanwhile, the report has given clean chit to temporary worker Deepa, who was accused of threatening and persuading the victim to withdraw the complaint.
Police have noted that Deepa was not part of the others who met the victim at the ICU. The officials have named Asya, Shiny Hose, PE Shima and Shalooja, and nursing assistant Praseetha Manoli in connection with the act. All five are on the run. Among them, Asya’s lawyer has approached the court for anticipatory bail. The court will take up the matter on Monday and it has directed the police not to arrest her until the pronouncing verdict on her bail plea.
