Kozhikode: Another purported video of an NRI youth, allegedly abducted by a gang from Thamarassery here surfaced on Friday. In the video, Shafi, who is originally from Parappanpoyil, has levelled allegations against his brother Nauful.
According to the Shafi, his brother Nauful is hatching plans to kill him. The intention is to get the wealth as per Muslim inheritance law, he alleged.

Earlier, Shafi in another purported video claimed that he and his brother were abducted in connection with the smuggling of 325 kilograms of gold worth around Rs 80 crore from abroad. He divulged details about the operation to his abductors. Shafi pleaded with his listeners to take action to secure his release. However, the video abruptly ended when he mentioned the possibility of conducting a march to the police station.
Meanwhile, police doubt about the authenticity of claims in the purported videos emerged. The officials suspect that his abductors might have staged the act and forced him to release the video. The police also doubt whether the move is to divert the probe.
