Vishnu Mohan
Kottayam: Police arrested Manimala native Vishnu Mohan for molesting a minor girl under false pretence of applying traditional oil (marma thilam), as part of an indigenous treatment method.
According to police, Mohan had been involved in door-to-door sales of traditional oil. He approached the girl’s house for sales when she was alone. The person groped the girl under the guise of applying oil and molested her.
The girl called out and alerted others but the person fled the scene. Later, the family members lodged a complaint with police, which in turn led to his arrest.
The police produced him before the court and he was remanded for 14 days.
