Joby George
Kottayam: In an unfortunate incident, a policeman died after falling off a building, while on duty, in Pala, Kottayam. The deceased has been identified as Kuravilangad native Joby George, sub inspector of Ramapuram police station.
The incident took place near a bus depot in Ramapuram. As per reports, George had arrived at the building following information that a gambling gang was present in the area. However, the officer slipped near a corridor and fell down the building.
George was soon rushed to a private hospital by his fellow policemen. However, he succumbed to the injuries by Sunday morning. The body has been kept at the medical college hospital, Kottayam.
