Kottayam food poisoning: Hotel owner on the run arrested

Kottayam: Police have arrested the owner of Sankranthi hotel here in connection with death of nurse Resmi Raj. The person arrested is Latheef (37), a native of Kasaragod.

The person had been on run after Resmi reportedly died of food poisoning after eating from his hotel.

He was nabbed from Bengaluru’s Kammanahalli by a special team of officials led by district police chief here. Earlier, chief cook of the hotel who had been on the run was arrested.

Meanwhile, Latheef was produced before the court. The follow up measures will be initiated soon, say reports.
