Kottayam: The autopsy report of nurse Resmi Raj, who reportedly died of food poisoning after eating from a hotel, has come out. According to the report, infection to internal organs resulted in her death. However, it is not yet clear what actually caused the infection.

The samples collected after the autopsy have been sent to microbiology and pathology department for further tests. The allegation in the air is that the food had caused infection. But it can be confirmed only once the test results are available. The body has been handed over to the family.

The district food safety unit handed over the action report to the food safety commissioner. The samples collected from the hotel will be sent to the concerned lab for further examination. 26 individuals who had food from the hotel has been hospitalised.
