The High Court dismissed Kerala government’s argument that it needs more time to implement the Supreme Court verdict.

Kothamangalam: Kerala High Court has sought the possibility of summoning central forces in connection with the Kothamangalam church dispute case. The High Court asked the Assistant Solicitor General to appear before the court on Tuesday in this regard.

The HC dismissed Kerala government’s argument that it needs more time to implement the Supreme Court verdict.

The court said that either the government should implement the order using police force or witness the verdict being implemented by central forces. These are the only options in front of the government, the High Court said while dismissing the government's request.

Enough time was allowed to implement the Supreme Court order. However, there were lapses from the government in taking over the churches. This is when the court sought the possibility of summoning central forces.

The Assistant Solicitor General will be present in court when the case will be considered again on Tuesday.
