Kozhikode: Remo Roy, the son and third witness in the case, testified before Marad Special Court on Tuesday that his mother, Jolliamma Joseph (Jolly), confessed to him about committing six murders, including that of his father, Roy Thomas. According to Remo's statement, his mother admitted to poisoning his grandmother by mixing poison in mutton soup and using cyanide to contaminate the food and water of others.

Remo's statement further implicates two individuals in the delivery of cyanide. He mentioned that Jolly told him Shaji, alias MS Mathew, provided her with the cyanide while Prajikumar was responsible for delivering it to Shaji.

Roy had always shown care and affection towards Remo, his mother, and his younger brother, he said.

Additionally, Remo testified that he handed over the mobile phone used by his mother to the police. Initially, his mother had claimed to be a lecturer at NIT (National Institute of Technology). However, after being interrogated by the police, she confessed that she worked at beauty parlours and tailoring shops. Remo also stated that his mother took him to the NIT canteen and bought food for him.

Rojo, the second witness and younger brother of Roy Thomas, testified that Jolly had presented a fake certificate to their father, Tom Thomas, when he visited before his death. Jolly had claimed to hold an M Com degree, but Rojo stated that she had only completed her graduation.

Rojo also highlighted that Jolly used forged documents for mutation of their Ponnamattom house and the property, which raised suspicions. As a result, Rojo filed a complaint to investigate the six mysterious deaths.

Special Public Prosecutor NK Unnikrishnan and Additional Special Prosecutor E Subhash were present for the prosecution.
