Koodathai murder: Jolly and Mathew had financial dealings, say police
Kozhikode: In a latest development of the Koodathai murder case, the police have found that Jolly, the prime accused in the case, had financial dealings with the late Mathew Machadi, one of the six victims killed.
Mathew was the uncle of Jolly's first husband Roy Thomas. Jolly had told the investigating team that Mathew was killed by mixing cyanide in his alcohol.
Tom Thomas, father of her husband, had deposited Rs 16 lakh to her account after selling his land for Jolly and Roy. However, Jolly and Mathew used this money to give loans. Roy Thomas was not involved in this deal. The police learnt that therefore Roy Thomas started a real estate business of his own.
