Kadakkal (Kollam): Four people were arrested for sexually abusing a Plus One student here. The survivor is living with her grandmother. The accused used several means to get closer with the survivor and abused her continuously for months since June last year.
Police arrested Sudheer (39), Mohanan (59), Basheer (52) and Muhammad Niyas (25) on the case.
The incidents were revealed by the survivor during a counselling session in the school. The authorities then informed the matter to the Child Line. Kadakkal police, upon receiving the information from the Child Line, conducted a primary investigation and arrested the accused. The police will look into the possibilities of more men being involved in the case. The accused were later remanded by a local court.
Sudheer and Niyas offered to marry the girl to abuse her. Mohanan and Basheer gave her dresses and other things.
