Pathanapuram: Two police officers were injured due to an accidental gunfire in the station.
Ranjith (38 years), civil police officer at Pathanapuram station was admitted to a private hospital, after the bullet struck his leg. CPO Shaiju (38 years) who was cleaning the pistol sustained minor injuries on his hand.
The incident happened on Wednesday evening.
Shaiju, who was cleaning SI’s service revolver, accidentally fired it, creating the tension.
