Thiruvananthapuram: CPM politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that if the Congress candidate in Nemom was confident of victory he should have resigned his MP post before contesting assembly election.
Kodiyeri wanted to know how the UDF candidate can keep one leg in Thiruvananthapuram and the other in New Delhi and play the electoral battle. One should not sail on two boats at the same time. But the LDF candidate works among the public with a certain ideology, Kodiyeri said.
Though Kerala usually witnesses a battle between LDF and UDF, Nemom is going to see a contest between LDF and BJP this time. Congress, League and BJP are working hand in hand in Kunnamangalam, he alleged.
LDF is confident about victory. All surveys state that LDF has more chances of winning. However, we are not following the survey results as they keep changing their predictions. We warn LDF supporters not to pay attention to it, Kodiyeri stated.
