Kodakara black money case: Witnesses may become accused, says CM


Thiruvananthapuram: Aiming at BJP state president K Surendran, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday informed the Assembly that the witnesses in the Kodakara black money case may become accused. He was replying to the adjournment motion filed by Congress MLA Rijo M John.

The money was brought to Kerala for funding BJP in the assembly elections. One of the accused and the complainant of the robbery case are BJP workers, CM said.

The money was brought for the BJP Alappuzha district treasurer. 21 accused are already under arrest, he said.

CM also informed the court that the information about the black money is already handed over to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Roji said in his motion that the government is compromising on the case even after it was found out that the BJP used the amount to sabotage the election.
