Kochi: A migrant worker was killed after a concrete wall collapsed on a group of workers who were engaged in drainage work in Kaloor here on Wednesday. According to reports, two migrant workers were trapped in the drainage and one of them was later rescued. However, one of them was killed on the spot before the rescue team could get to him.
It is learnt that the accident happened when the workers were carrying out construction work in the area. The fire force and the police had to cut through the concrete wall to rescue the workers.
However, the fire force personnel struggled to cut the huge concrete slabs. Both workers are natives of Andhra Pradesh.
